When you receive a link, it may be unclear which kind of website it links to. Previews for links can help by adding context information, for example the website's title and description. Many websites provide this meta data using the [OpenGraph](https://ogp.me/) data format. Gajim now supports displaying this information. If your contact adds OpenGraph meta data to the message, Gajim will display it. At the moment we only know of [Cheogram](https://cheogram.com/) sending data for these previews, but Gajim will join soon. If you're interested in the details, you can read more about the [pros and cons of different link preview implementations](https://mysk.blog/2020/10/25/link-previews/) and why Gajim only displays preview data it received with the message itself.
